Keep spices tucked away in cool, dry and dark areas. Your spices will not last as long if they are exposed to light, heat or humidity. Keeping your spices in a cooler space with little light will enhance their flavor and shelf life. Using fresh spices will make your food taste better.

This can be fixed quite easily by using the following tip. Take two raw potatoes, peel and chop them, and add them to the sauce to simmer for a quarter hour. Remove the potatoes before the start getting soft. If your sauce or dish has a tomato base, you can also add additional tomatoes. This usually reduces the level of sale if you cook the added tomatoes to tenderness.
