The cashew nut trees are planted along the tropical coast and the nuts are harvested after three years. Compared to peanut, the cashew nut is less oily and its oil can be used for frying and stir frying. Each cashew nut contains twenty percent protein as well as fat, carbohydrate and vitamins A, B and E.

 

The nutritious cashew nut is recommended for people who are physically active as it is able to replenish the energy used. Eating cashew nuts daily may also promote anti-aging. 

 

Although it is nutritious, cashew nuts are not recommended for people with high cholesterol and also those with excessive phlegm.
