Steamed Bean Curd With Shrimps Recipe

Ingredients:

2 packets or blocks of bean curd (each block cut into 6 or 8 smaller pieces)

1/2 to 1 tsp salt

250g small shrimps

1 cup green peas (wash and drain)

2 fresh red chilies (remove seeds and cut into thin slices)

4 tbsp cooking

2 cloves garlic (chopped)

1 tbsp sesame oil

2 tbsp light soy sauce

Method:

Soak bean curd in cold water with salt for 30 minutes. Remove and pat dry with absorbent paper. Place bean curd into plate. Shell and remove black veins from shrimps. Wash and pat dry. Arrange shrimps on top of bean curd, green peas and chilies around the bean curd. Heat up oil in pan. Fry till light brown. Remove form flame and pour over bean curd. Add sesame oil and light soy sauce. Put the plate of bean curd in a steamer and steam for 15 minutes.
