Almond Cheese Biscuits Recipe


A150 g corn flour

300 g grated cheese

300 g butter

300 g plain flour

150 g chopped peanut

150 g ground almond

3 tablespoons caster sugar


3 lightly beaten egg yolks

90 g cheese (cut into strips)

90 g ground almond


Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Fold in grated cheese and continue blending till well blended. Fold in plain flour, corn flour, chopped peanut and ground onion. Roll out dough into 3 mm thick on a floured surface, then cut with biscuits cutters. Brush top of biscuits with egg yolk. Then sprinkle ground almond and top with strips of cheese. Put biscuits on greased baking trays. Bake in preheated oven at 190 degrees Celsius for 10 to 15 minutes.
