Coffee Crisps Biscuits Recipe


130 g butter

45 g icing sugar

160 g plain flour

30 g almond flakes

1 tbsp instant coffee

1 tbsp hot water


Preheat oven to moderate 180 degrees Celsius. Sift flour and set aside. Bake almond flakes at 180 degrees Celsius for 5 minutes. Beat soft butter and icing sugar until light and creamy. Dissolve coffee powder in hot water. Stir coffee solution into butter mixture and beat until well mixed. Add in flour and mix well. Add almond flakes and stir well to form a dough. Chill for a while. Divide dough into two portions. Shape each into 4 cm thick triangle. Chill for two hours. Remove and cut into 1/3 thick triangle and place on prepared baking tray. Bake for 15 minutes at 180 degrees Celsius. Allow to cool before serving.
