Oat And Sesame Biscuits Recipe


4 tablespoons butter

115g caster sugar

1 egg, beaten

50g plain flour

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon baking powder

170g porridge oats

120g raisins

2 tablespoons sesame seeds


  1. Lightly grease 2 baking trays.

  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

  3. Add the beaten egg gradually and beat until well combined.

  4. Sieve the flour, salt and baking powder into the creamed mixture. Mix well.

  5. Add the porridge oats, raisins and sesame seeds and mix together thoroughly.

  6. Place spoonfuls of the mixture well apart on the prepared baking trays and flatten them slightly with the back of a spoon.

  7. Bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees Celsius for 15 minutes.

  8. Leave the biscuits to cool slightly on the baking trays and then transfer them to cool completely on a wire rack.
