Sesame Biscuits Recipe


750 g corn flour

1.5 cups plain flour

2 teaspoon baking powder

1.5 cups castor sugar

320 g margarine

4 eggs lightly beaten

1.5 cups sesame seeds

2 egg yolks lightly beaten


Sieve together corn flour, baking powder and plain flour. Add in castor sugar, 1 cup sesame seeds and 4 lightly beaten eggs. Pour melted margarine over flour, mix and knead well. Roll out dough into 3 mm thick. Cut dough into 6 cm x 3 cm rectangles. Snip on one side of the rectangle. Brush top of the cookies with egg yolk and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Bake in a preheated oven at 190 degrees Celsius for 15 minutes.
