Steamed Rice Cake Recipe


100g rice flour

300ml water

1 tsp salt

2 small onions (chopped)

100g dries radish (chopped)

30g dried prawns (chopped)

2 tbsp soy sauce

pinch of sugar

dash of pepper

corn oil

sweet chili sauce.



Put water in a pot placed over low fire and dissolve the rice flour and salt, stirring continuously until a rice paste is formed. Half fill rice bowl with paste. Steam over high heat for about 20 minutes. Heat 4 tbsp of corn oil and brown chopped small onions, dries prawns and dried radish. Add soy sauce, pepper and sugar to taste. Spoon this mixture over steamed cake and serve with sweet chili sauce.
