Stewed Bird's Nest With Coconut Milk Recipe


30g bird's nest

1/2 cup coconut milk

1 cup fresh milk

120 g rock sugar

1 full coconut shell with round opening on top.


Soak bird's nest in boiled water in a covered container for 5 hours. Parboil in boiled water and rinse with cold water. Drain. Wash rock sugar and cook with 2 cups of water to make syrup. Strain. Put bird's nest and syrup into steaming pot. Cover and stew for 2 hours. Cook fresh milk and coconut milk until it is slightly boiled. Pour the mixture into the coconut shell and add stewed bird's nest ingredients. Steam for 50 minutes. Serve.
