Vermicelli Pudding With Raisins Recipe


12 cups milk

1 cup broken vermicelli

12 tbsp sugar

5 tbsp raisins

1/2 cup almonds (blanched and silvered)

5 drops rose essence

2 tbsp chopped pistachios


Boil the milk, stirring constantly. Add in vermicelli, continue cooking until vermicelli is soft. Add sugar raisins and almonds. Remove from heat, drop in the essence and put in individual dessert bowls. Serve with chopped pistachios either warm or chilled.
