Onion Sauce Chicken Recipe

Ingredients:

1 whole chicken (1 - 2 kg)

3 big onions sliced into rings

1 egg (beaten)

5 tbsp corn flour

cooking oil for deep frying.

Seasoning Ingredients:

1 tbsp flour

3 tbsp corn flour

2 tbsp curry flour

pepper to taste

2 tbsp soy sauce

1 tbsp oyster sauce

1 tsp salt

Sauce Ingredients:

2 tbsp corn oil

200ml water

2 tbsp chili sauce

1 tbsp tomato sauce

3 tbsp oyster sauce

sugar to taste

salt to taste

pepper to taste

2 tbsp corn flour and 5 tbsp water mix into paste

 

Method:

Clean chicken and remove bones.  Retain the bones at the drumsticks and wings. Marinate chicken with seasoning ingredients 3 hours or overnight if preferred. Deep fry marinated chicken in heated cooking oil until the meat is cooked and the skin turns golden brown. Put onion rings in beaten egg then roll in corn flour and deep fry until lightly brown. Boil the sauce ingredients. Thicken it with corn flour paste. Cut the chicken into bite size pieces, arrange onion rings together with a serving plate, pour prepared sauce over it and serve immediately.
