Balinese Fried Rice Recipe


700g cooked rice

220 g chicken meat, cubed

140 g shrimps

1/2 cabbage, shredded

5 eggs, beaten

4 shallots, sliced

2 cloves garlic, sliced

5 tbsp cooking oil

Salt to taste

1 tsp sliced bird's eye chilies

2 tsp fried shallot


Pounded ingredients

6 shallots

3 cloves garlic

6 chilies

1/2 tomato

1/2 tsp roasted dried shrimp paste

1 tsp lime juice



Heat oil in pan. Stir-fry sliced shallots and garlic until fragrant. Add in chicken meat and shrimps. Stir-fry until chicken is cooked. Add in pounded ingredients and stir for 2 minutes. Put in cabbage, stir well. Add in beaten egg and cooked rice. Mix well. Stir-fry for 5 minutes. Season with salt. Mix well. Serve. Garnish with bird's eye chilies and fried shallot.
