Fried Prawn Rolls Recipe

Ingredients: Serves 6

600g medium size prawns (Cleaned and shelled with head and tail intact)

12 bread slices with crust removed

3 tbsp tapioca flour with 1/2 cup of water and make it into a thick smooth paste

cooking oil for deep frying

 

Marinate Ingredients

1 tbsp ginger juice

1 tbsp soy sauce

1 tsp sugar

1/4 tsp five spice powder

1/4 tsp pepper

salt to taste

Method:

Marinate prawns with the above ingredients for about 2 hours. Place a marinated prawn on a slice of bread and roll it up tightly. The bread should not cover the head and tail. Secure the edge with the tapioca flour paste to prevent the roll from opening during frying. Deep fry the rolls until crispy and golden in color. Serve with chili, tomato and mustard sauce.
