Shrimp And Bean Curd In Vinegar Sauce Recipe


8 pieces bean curd (slightly hard ones)

7 tbsp rice vinegar

2 tbsp salted beans (pounded)

10 twin shallots (sliced)

1 clove garlic (sliced)

4cm julienne strips of ginger

1 tbsp thick soy sauce

salt, sugar, pepper to taste

200g fresh shrimps (shelled)

8 tbsp oil

15 tbsp water

2 tsp corn flour

4 chilies (sliced)

chopped spring onion


Heat up oil in pan and fry the bean cakes till golden. Dish out and place on a dish. Using the same oil fry the shallots, garlic and ginger. Add the salted bean and chilies and fry till fragrant. Mix in the vinegar, soy sauce, sugar and salt. Mix the corn flour with water and pour into the hot gravy. Add shrimps and put in the fried bean curd. Simmer for 4 to 5 minutes. Dish out, sprinkle pepper and garnish with spring onion.
