Sweet And Sour Crabs Recipe


1kg crabs (remove the top shell and cut crab into 4 parts)

2 clove garlic (crushed)

1 cm piece ginger (sliced)

2 fresh red chilies (sliced)

1 large onion (cut into wedges)

2 stalks spring onion (shredded)

1/4 vinegar

1/3 cup water

2 tbsp tomato sauce

2 tsp corn flour (blended with 2 tsp water)

1 egg beaten

1 tbsp oil


Heat up oil in pan and fry the garlic and ginger until fragrant. Put in the onion wedges and brown lightly. Add the vinegar, tomato sauce and water. Bring to boil and season to taste with salt and sugar. Mix in the beaten egg. Thicken the gravy with corn flour if necessary. Put in the crabs and cook until done. Garnish with sliced chilies and shredded spring onions. Serve hot.
