Dry Beef Curry Recipe


6 tbsp cooking oil

500 beef (cut into bite-sized)

3 cups coconut milk

2 tbsp grated coconut

2 tbsp curry powder

Salt to taste


Pounded Ingredients

3 cm galangal

6 shallots

3 cloves garlic

3 cm ginger

5 dried chilies



Stir-fry grated coconut over low heat until light brown. Set aside. Heat oil in a pan and fry pounded ingredients until fragrant. Add in curry powder and fry for a minute. Add in 1 cup of coconut milk and simmer for a minute. Add in beef and grated coconut. Stir well and add in the rest of the coconut milk and salt. Simmer until gravy thicken. Serve hot.
