Minced Mutton Curry Recipe


1/4 cup cooking oil

2 potatoes (cubed)

1 tsp cumin

1 cinnamon stick

4 pods cardamom

3 cloves garlic (thinly sliced)

1 onion (sliced)

1 lb minced mutton

1 tsp sugar

salt to taste

3 tsp ground chili

1 tsp ground coriander

2 tsp ground turmeric

1 tsp ground cumin

3 tomatoes sliced

1/4 cup cooked green peas

3 tsp chopped coriander leaves


Heat up oil in pan using medium heat. Fry the potato cubes till golden brown. Remove and put into a bowl. Using the same oil fry cumin, cinnamon and cardamom for a minute. Add onion and garlic and stir fry till brown. Mix in mutton, salt, sugar and ground ingredients. Stir fry until the mixture is dry, then pour in 4 cups of water, add potatoes and tomatoes. Cover the pan and simmer till mutton is cooked. Add in green peas and chopped coriander leaves. Stir well then remove from heat. Serve.
