Moghul Roast Chicken Recipe


6 chicken drumsticks

150 g butter

Seasoning Ingredients:

3 cups yoghurt

2/3 cup vinegar

10 small onions finely chopped

3 cm ginger finely chopped

3 cm turmeric finely chopped

6 pips garlic finely chopped

2 tsp coriander seeds

4 tsp chili powder

5 tbsp sweet chili sauce

1 tsp fresh black pepper

salt to taste


Mix the seasoning ingredient. Blend until a paste is obtained. Clean the chicken drumsticks and remove the skin. Rub on the seasoning ingredients and marinate for 4 hours or overnight if preferred. Roast the marinated chicken in a 170 degrees Celsius preheated oven for about 1.5 hours. Occasionally baste with melted butter. Garnished as desired and serve hot.
